Avengers Doomsday cast revealed!
The cast of Avengers Doomsday was revealed overnight via a live stream on X, Youtube and Instagram. The initial video, slowly revealing each cast members over 5 hours and 30 minutes, gave us a massive cast list and huge reveals that have far reaching implications for the film! Faces familiar to the MCU are returning, as well as fan favourites not seen in the franchise for more than 20 years.

Who’s Returning?
Fans will be thrilled to see some of their favourite heroes back in action. Chris Hemsworth in particular, has been missing for a few years and is set to reprise his role, continuing his MCU legacy. Anthony Mackie returns as Captain America, following his latest outing with Captain America: Brave New World. With the Avengers lineup constantly evolving, it’s exciting to see how these characters will step up for this new threat.
New Faces in the MCU
One of the biggest talking points from the reveal is the addition of many names seen in the X-Men Franchise, with Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Alan Cumming, James Marsden and Rebecca Romijn returning to the role, and in the case of Rebecca Romijn and Alan Cumming, for the first time in 20 years.
Who’s the Big Bad?
Every great Avengers movie needs an unforgettable villain, and Doomsday is no exception. Robert Downey Jr is set to return to the franchise that revitalised his career, taking on the role of Doctor Doom, bringing a whole new level of danger to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. With the adjustment of the film to Doomsday following the previously announced Avengers: The Kang Dynasty set up by several of the franchises previous outings (Loki Season 2, Ant Man & The Wasp: Quantumania), Marvel needed to swing big, and swing big they have by bringing back the franchises biggest hero to be its new biggest villain.
What This Means for the MCU
